Medical Associates of West Florida

Strategic Growth Roadmap

Preparing for AEP 2027 & Building Sustainable Growth

Medical Associates of West Florida

Strategic Opportunity

Over the past several years, Capstone Health has worked alongside physician practices throughout the Tampa Bay area — from independent primary care offices with little or no digital presence to larger healthcare organizations supported by dedicated marketing departments and substantial advertising budgets.

The recommendations in this roadmap are based on practical Medicare experience and physician partnerships, not marketing theory.

Current Healthcare Landscape

Today’s Medicare beneficiaries research physicians online before establishing care. Independent practices can compete successfully by combining physician branding, patient education, community outreach, Medicare expertise, and a strong digital presence rather than relying solely on paid advertising.

Phase 1Preparing for AEP 2027

Foundation Before AEP

Digital Foundation: Digital physician profiles, Google Business Profile connections, social media presence, and educational blog strategy.
Search Engine Optimization: Google Business Profile optimization, locally optimized website content, keyword-driven educational articles, online review strategy with office QR codes, internal linking, and technical improvements.
Community Outreach: Alternate “Meet Your Local Physician” events for new patient attraction with Annual Medicare Review events for current patient retention and plan optimization.
Strategic Medicare Patient Optimization: Annual Reviews identify patients who may benefit from Managed Care or Fee-for-Service based on healthcare utilization — not simply plan popularity.
Protect Existing Commercial Patients Turning 65: Educate established patients before competing organizations reach them.
Independent Broker & Carrier Networking Event: Capstone Health prepares physicians and presenters on MAW’s philosophy of care, ideal patient profile, referral expectations, and practice strengths so trusted brokers better understand which patients are the best fit for MAW.
