Mirna began working with Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries in 2017 through Anthem, when the company operated locally as Amerigroup. That experience gave her a strong foundation in Medicare enrollment, Medicaid coordination and the everyday challenges beneficiaries face when trying to understand their healthcare coverage.
Over the years, she has worked extensively throughout Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, helping individuals evaluate plan changes, provider access, prescription coverage and financial eligibility.
In 2023, Mirna became an independent Medicare agent so she could compare a broader range of coverage options rather than being limited to one insurance company. She joined Capstone Health because of the agency’s focus on education, physician relationships, ongoing client support and helping people make informed decisions.
A native Spanish speaker from the Dominican Republic, Mirna understands how difficult Medicare can feel when important healthcare information is not explained clearly. She takes pride in helping Spanish-speaking beneficiaries feel heard, respected and confident.
