Mirna has been serving Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries since 2017, beginning her career with Anthem when it operated as Amerigroup. From the start, she developed a strong passion for helping seniors and families understand their healthcare options and access the coverage they need.
Throughout her career, Mirna worked extensively across Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough counties, building trusted relationships within the communities she served. She has assisted hundreds of individuals with Medicare enrollment, plan changes, and Medicaid coordination, always focusing on matching coverage to each client’s medical and financial needs.
In 2023, Mirna chose to become an independent agent so she could offer a broader range of plan options. As an independent Medicare broker, she compares Medicare Advantage, Medigap, and prescription drug plans objectively. She also assists eligible clients with Marketplace (ACA) coverage when appropriate, ensuring families have the right protection at every stage of life.
As she looked to grow in her independence, Mirna wanted to align with an agency known for doing Medicare the right way — prioritizing education, strong physician relationships, and long-term client support. Through local provider networks and community connections, she became familiar with Capstone Health and the reputation Will Smith had built throughout Pasco County. The agency’s commitment to customer service and offering multiple options; rather than pushing a single product; aligned with her values.
Mirna is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and is a native Spanish speaker from the Dominican Republic. She takes pride in serving the Spanish-speaking community throughout Pasco County and surrounding areas, helping clients feel confident and understood during the Medicare enrollment process.
Her outgoing personality and love for connecting with people from diverse backgrounds have strengthened her ability to serve clients of many nationalities. Mirna believes that clear communication and genuine care are essential when guiding someone through important healthcare decisions.
